To describe in few words Paraty:
Paraty is the place where people go to flee Sao Paulo.

The main place

2

Hostel in front of the beach

The most expensive place of our trip: 11€ a night a person, including a phat breakfast + one Caipirinha. We couldn't resist to the last argument.

3

Boat trip

50 reals (16€) to see all the bay inside this lovely boat. Here are arguments that makes us fear this city. Too touristic, too expensive.

4

Venice?

Approximately once a month, the water goes in the street. Washing all the pavements of Lapa, the old quarter of Paraty.

5

View from the bay

After climbing the Old Fort of Paraty, we could have the view of a lot of island around Paraty. It's said to be 365 islands and more than 2000 beaches around Paraty.

A meeting

We met Lily. She is Argentine and has traveled a lot (even in France). We were flattened by her wisdom. She even invites her to her places in the South of Buenos Aires. She was very grateful after receiving our bracelet and explained us how her cousin get the "Légion d'honneur" from the hands of De Gaulle. More than the wonderful landscapes, she made our day.
